SDGs

We actively invest in businesses that contribute to environmental improvement and initiatives for environmental conservation.
We are committed to implementing both mitigation measures, aimed at reducing greenhouse gas emissions as outlined in the Mie Prefecture Comprehensive Plan for Global Warming Countermeasures, and adaptation measures to effectively address the impacts of climate change.
Through these efforts, we aim to contribute to the realization of a sustainable society.

Investment in Mie Prefecture Green Bonds

We purchased bonds issued by corporations and local government bodies to raise funds for projects that contribute to environmental improvement and conservation efforts, commonly known as "green projects."

The "Green Bonds" issued by Mie Prefecture are dedicated to supporting initiatives that earnestly promote both mitigation measures, aimed at reducing greenhouse gas emissions, and adaptation measures to alleviate the impacts of climate change. By doing so, these bonds contribute to Mie Prefecture's efforts in environmental conservation and reducing environmental impact, ultimately contributing to the realization of a sustainable regional environment.

Achieved a 30% Reduction in CO2 Emissions

Mie Prefecture has set a goal to achieve a 30% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions by the fiscal year 2030 compared to the levels in 2013. In alignment with this target, we have introduced solar power generation systems, successfully realizing the 30% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions as envisioned by the prefecture.

Furthermore, Mie Prefecture aims to achieve a decarbonized society with net-zero greenhouse gas emissions from the prefectural area by the fiscal year 2050. We are actively promoting initiatives to contribute to the realization of this goal.

Corporate Citizenship

We are engaged in various activities to revitalize the community and work for the local society.

Participation of Mie University Students in Business Activities

Mie University requires as part of its graduation requirements that students participate in internships as work experiences within companies or local governments.

Our company actively supports student assistance through their own engagement in corporate activities.

Donation of sanitary goods

In May 2020, due to the widespread outbreak of the coronavirus, an emergency declaration was issued, leading to a significant surge in the demand for sanitary products. Reports highlighted shortages of essential supplies, such as gowns and masks, in numerous healthcare facilities.

We received an offer of 10,000 masks from our overseas buyer, and in response, we made a donation of masks to local medical institutions facing shortages. We were honored to receive commendations and certificates of recognition from Mie University School of Medicine Hospital, National Hospital Organization Mie Chuo Medical Center, and National Hospital Organization Mie Hospital. Through the trust and camaraderie fostered by these connections, we were able to contribute to the local community.
